How many times have you looked on Craig’s list to buy or sell something and you see the perfect match – by someone who lives in Brooklyn? Let’s start swapping kids’ clothes, or gear on the Upper West Side. I haven’t quite figured out how to make this page work so it’s always up to date so please start posting here and self monitor when it’s time to take down your stroller posting or offer to give away all your old clothes since you’re done having kids!
I hope this makes everyone’s lives a little easier!
We are planning to change our decor and therefore looked into selling our beautiful Stickley mission-style furniture.
We also replaced the original powder room mirror and are happy to sell that too if anyone wants a matching one to that which came with the apartment. Name your fair price.
I wrote to Stickley and this is what they told me:
“When we sell furniture to our customers we are expecting they keep the furniture for their lives and pass the pieces on to their offspring to become treasured heirlooms. But sometimes that can’t happen so, it needs to be sold. We maintain that the value of a piece of Stickley increases with age and will ultimately take its place with fine antiques.”
Here are photos as well as models, description and price which appear on the original invoice. I have religiously oiled and treated the furniture since we bought it. We were encouraged by Stickley to try to sell it to neighbors first so here goes. Please call me if you are interested: (917) 232-1165
We would like to entertain the best offer. It is available immediately.
Please feel free to forward to friends and family. This would also be a great piece for a second home.
