Stella – from book to stage!

unnamed-1

I can’t remember who it was that gave us a box set of the Stella books. It took me a little while to get to know her character but then I really enjoyed this (new) classic.  Whoever it was, I will have t figure it out and thank them as they were ahead of their time!  Now, the character will be on stage on the UWS in the form a puppet!  Symphony Space has her upcoming show.  Here’s more info.  I’m planning to go!

If you would like to win 4 tickets to see Stella at Symphony Space this Sat., please post a comment here.  Please write about other performances you have seen or plan to see at Symphony Space!

Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia:
Stella, Queen of the Snow
Award-winning and internationally touring Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia wowed Just Kidding audiences two seasons ago with their dynamic production of Eric Carle stories. In this new 2014 production, the classic story by Marie-Louise Gay (best-selling author of the “Stella and Sam” series) is adapted into a puppetry spectacle.  It’s a story of adventure and wonder: Stella and her brother Sam spend the day playing in the first snow of winter. The forest, snowballs, snow angels and the mysterious white stuff itself provide fuel for Sam’s thoughtful questions and Stella’s humorous answers as they discover the season together.
