Join us this week for the many activities going on during Shabbat from Eve to End:
All Young Families are invited to this, as it will be our monthly kiddush. Linda White, Early Childhood Specialist and “Play Curator”, will join us to facilitate open play with creative materials for the children.

Children’s Creative Play Studio
Saturday, January 25 | 3:00-4:15PM | 89th Street Reception Room
Young children and families can play in this open space with an inspired collection of creative and natural materials. Early Childhood Specialist and “Play Curator” Linda White will facilitate and create this interactive, indoor play space for children that is not to be missed.

Board Games
Saturday, January 25 | 3:00-5:15PM | 89th Street Room 202
Fancy playing a game of checkers on Shabbat afternoon? How about an epic Connect Four battle? The choice is yours! Come check out our game room, directly across from the gym, and get in a little play time.

Open Gym
Saturday, January 25 | 3:00-5:30PM | 89th Street Gym
All are welcome to enjoy the third floor gym facilities for some open gym time. Put together a game of pickup basketball or just practice your slam dunk.

Drumming Circles
Saturday, January 25 | 3:30-4:30PM, 4:30-5:15PM | Third Floor Classroom
Make a little music with drummer and Jewish educator Shoshana Jedwab this Shabbat. A drum circle for families with elementary school children (ages 7 and up) will be held at 3:30PM, with a drum circle for families with young children (ages 0-6) at 4:30PM. Drums will be provided- the only thing you need to bring is rhythm!

Gather for Havdalah
Saturday, January 25 | 5:30PM | 88th Street Sanctuary
Please join us at Havdalah, where we mark the separation between the sacred time of Shabbat and the ordinary time of the week. We will gather before the end of Shabbat to sing, pray, and search for something special from this Shabbat that we want to carry with us into the week.

Bim Bam Spring Session
Friday Mornings, January 10-May 16 | 9:15-10:00AM, 10:15-11:00AM, 11:15AM-12:00PM | 88th Street Frankel Hall
Bim Bam is a pre-Shabbat class for children 3 and under to sing Hebrew and Shabbat related songs and enjoy Jewish learning activities. Every class ends with lighting Shabbat candles, kiddush and hamotzi to prepare for Shabbat. Children and families bring Bim Bam into their homes with the songs and rituals for Shabbat, enhancing each family’s Jewish experience. Register now for the 9:15 or 11:15 classes. Space is limited. Cost is $270/members and $350/non-members per family. 5-Class Passes are also available for the 9:15 and 11:15 sessions, $100/members and $150/non-members per family. Contact Kristen Kersey with questions. Note: Class will not meet April 18.
