Fancy Nancy Extended it’s show – Downtown

We loved seeing Fancy Nancy The Musical at the Vital Theatre, right here on Broadway & 76th.  So I asked the Vital Theatre if they were considering extending the show since the girls loved it sooo much! They told me “Fancy Nancy is taking an excursion–that’s fancy for trip– downtown to Culture Project.”  So while we love having real shows “on Broadway” on the UWS, I have to say that it’s going to be worth your trip downtown to explore the rest of the City we are all so happy to live in!

Performances will run every Saturday at 1:30 pm and every Sunday at 12 noon.  Tickets are $29.50.  Premium seats are available for $49.50.  For reservations, visit www.vitaltheatre.org, call us at (212) 579-0528, or visit McGinn/Cazale box office Mondays-Fridays from 9-5, or visit the Culture Project box office one hour before the show. Culture Project is located downtown at 45 Bleecker St. at Lafayette.

For days after the show, Mia was talking about how much she loved when Nancy was the TREE. Don’t tell your kids or it will ruin the message of the book.  But the fact that the message got through to my 6 year old was a testament to the quality of the show.  Instead of always getting the role you want or the “thing” that you want, the book and the show they created made it look beautiful and fun to be happy with what you do get.

As the holidays near and our kids (may!) get a bit fussy about what they want and “NEED”… it’s a great show to enjoy with them.  You will spend quality time enjoying live theatre and you will teach them a lesson, post-hurricane and as we shop for gifts and go to holiday parties, that you can be happy with what you have.  We love the Fancy Nancy series and quote her fancy words all the time.  The show has been equally as popular in our home, parts repeated over and over like a good book!

Enjoy the show!
