Dear Mia and Liza Gerstein,

Your donation to the Friends Book Fund Campaign will now be doubled! An anonymous Library donor has decided to step up and match every dollar donated by Friends __ up to $50,000.

Please respond right away if you haven’t already done so __and double your impact.

The need for new books and materials in all of our locations is great. This school year, twenty-five percent of New York City pubic schools do not have an on-site library.

Nearly all NYC schools with libraries do not have enough materials, and over 50% do not have an online catalog. This means that students and teachers are turning to NYPL’s neighborhood libraries to get required reading materials. They need our help. We need yours.

Add twice as many books when you make a donation today!Let’s give our students and teachers the books they need. Donate today and your gift will be doubled. Dollar for dollar.

Thank you for your loyal support and for bringing new books and ideas to everyone.
