Did you know that Rutgers Church is a very family-friendly place?

Many people I know have loved their art class and benefitted from special family programs.  I just received this email and had to share.

Rutgers Community Programs is pleased to host a FREE parenting workshop, on Wednesday, March 7!

WhatSetting Appropriate Limits for Today’s Children. An absolutely essential workshop for parents of all children in our society today.  With children being influenced in so many different ways – through television, advertising, music and more – it’s important that parents have effective skills for setting limits based on their personal values.  This workshop takes a respectful look  at the child’s world and helps parents recognize the importance of setting limits for their children.  Further, it gives parents effective, easy to implement, proven techniques that WORK!  These skills empower parents and children alike.  Parents’ confidence soars as they put these tools into practice and see their children taking responsibility for their own actions, thinking through the consequences of their actions beforehand, and learning how to distinguish right from wrong.

Who: This workshop will be led by Julie Ross, M.A., author of several parenting books and Executive Director of Parenting Horizons.

When: Wednesday, March 7, 1-2:30pm

Where: Rutgers Church, 236 W. 73rd Street at Broadway

RSVP to Jennifer Moore at jmoore@rutgerschurch.org or 212-877-8227, x212
